SMS can be disabled as a verification method for accounts that prefer not to use a mobile number for sign-in.
Set up alternative verification methods
Before disabling SMS verification, at least two alternative sign-in methods must be configured, including:
An authenticator app, and
At least one passkey
These methods provide secure access to the account without relying on SMS.
Configure login methods
To configure these options, navigate to Profile Settings → Login & Security and follow the on-screen instructions to add an authenticator app and create a passkey.
Disable SMS verification
Once both alternative methods are successfully set up, SMS verification can be disabled from the same Login & Security page.
Important: After SMS authentication is disabled, verification codes will no longer be sent by text message. Please confirm that alternative sign-in methods are working correctly before turning off SMS as part of the onboarding process.
