During onboarding, PayRewards runs an automated check on the business details provided. If that check needs one more piece of evidence to confirm the business, a document upload step will appear inside the sign-up flow. When the step does appear, uploading the requested document is the fastest way to complete onboarding.
Which documents may be requested
Only the documents relevant to the business will be shown. Up to three may be requested:

| EIN Letter | An IRS-issued CP 575 or 147C letter confirming the EIN. A 147C letter can be requested from IRS.gov if the original is not available. |
| Proof of Business Address | A bank statement or utility bill dated within the past 60 days, or a government-issued document, showing the business or personal name and the address on file. |
| Certificate of Good Standing | A Certificate of Formation, Articles of Organization or Incorporation, a Partnership Agreement, or a screenshot of the Secretary of State page showing the legal business name and address. Must be dated within three months. |
How to upload
- 1 Each document appears as a separate card. Open one card at a time and select a file to upload.
- 2 Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, PDF, or DOCX, up to 20MB per file.
- 3 A file can be swapped at any point before selecting Continue. Once Continue is pressed, files are submitted and cannot be changed from within the form.
- 4 Continue stays disabled until every card has a file. Once all cards are filled, select Continue to submit.
The file may be in an unsupported format. This can happen with dragged files, including iPhone photos saved as .HEIC. Remove the file, use the file picker to select a PDF or image, and try again.
What happens next
Once submitted, the account dashboard will show Account verification in progress. Review typically takes 1 to 2 business days from the point all documents are received.
Business documents are collected during onboarding. Identity documents — such as a government-issued ID or a selfie — are a separate check. If we need them, a request will arrive by email after onboarding is complete. This is normal and does not mean the business documents were rejected.
